JP Buckley is the video analyst/coordinator for the Boston University Men's Ice Hockey team. He has held this position for two years, working directly under Head Coach Jack Parker, Associate Head Coach Mike Bavis, Assistant Coach Buddy Powers and Goalie Coach Mike Geragosian and Director of Hockey Operations Pertti Hasanen. He is in charge of handling all the team video needs, which includes breaking down live game film as well as all prescouting responsibilities. He is an avid hockey fan with a genuine passion for the game.Before attending Boston University, John-Paul was a four-year varsity member for Malden Catholic’s ice hockey team, where he was an assistant captain in his senior year. Also while at Malden Catholic, John-Paul was a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council, receiving awards in sportsmanship and leadership.
His passion for sports and education are the main focuses in John-Paul’s life. He is currently on track for receiving a bachelors degree in the science of communications as well as a minor in cognitive psychology.
